The General offers a little insight into the response of different societies to human tragedy. I would mention that much of the discussion involves Israelis and their treatment of the Palestinians but he tends to deploy the term 'Jews' to describe the actions of the Israeli government. I would change this term to 'militant Jews' as there seems to be a healthy backlash amongst the Jewish community against the Israeli government's actions in Palestine and Lebanon and I wouldn't like to tar such people with the apartheid brush.
